Main lecture exams are graded assessments of one or more main lectures, or main lectures with practical course. In addition to the course registration in the Online-Services MOnA (My Online Account), students must register for main lecture exams in MOnA within the published deadlines. A written deregistration (in German) is possible up to three weeks before the main lecture exam at the Office of the Dean of Studies of the Faculty of Science.

If the grade is insufficient, exactly one repetition per main lecture exam can be performed within one year. Failure to repeat is considered a waiver of the retry attempt and is graded 1.

With main lecture exam repetitions the better grade counts and is therefore taken.
